Dr. Jean Marie Farish interviews DJ Steel!
DJ Steel is a passionate writer who creates stories that take people on a transcendent reading experience. Known best for the Destiny trilogy written as an epic story tale and coming-of-age series for children and pre-teens, he is also working on a novel for adults. Titled The Zealot’s Eyes, DJ aspires to release it once the Destiny trilogy has been fully released to the world. Having worked as a sub-editor for 20 years, from 1991 to 2011, writing and reading stories has been his passion from a young age. His love of stories was fostered by his late mother, Veronica Joy, from a very young age. Now, through the art of story-telling, he is engaging people of all ages in something positive and imaginative.
David's latest release, Destiny's Journey is an engaging reading experience for children and pre-teens, through which they can develop a love for reading at a young age and absorb the wisdom and life lessons that DJ Steel shares through his adventurous stories. Destiny is a 12-year-old girl who lost her parents in a traumatic car accident and was confined to a wheelchair due to the accident. Young readers can learn to value life’s essential things through her story of struggle, hope, adventure, and triumph, brilliantly illustrated by Christopher Brunton.
Released in 2015, Destiny’s Dream shared Destiny's adventure through the Dream World, where she met new friends and defeated the antagonist, Maximum Mischief. In this second installment, Destiny returns to the Dream World, where she goes on an epic sea adventure with her dream friends and again comes face-to-face with the evil Maximum.

Gratitude
in Art
Challenges and experiences can be daunting for anyone, but with the right resources, those challenges can transform into valuable growth opportunities. Over the past nine years, I've found a way to express myself, and in doing so, I've watched music artists within our collective rise to recognition.
These individuals aren't afraid to push boundaries, turning seemingly impossible situations into something meaningful. What defines our unity? Is it through art and creativity? Art has always been a universal language, passed down from our ancestors, who spoke things into existence and witnessed their manifestation.
It feels as though I've been here before, perhaps many times, witnessing this journey unfold. It's been an honor to connect with each of you, to acknowledge your contributions while you continue to create as the artists you are.
P.S. This is more than just a passion—it's a lifestyle. I choose to remain on this journey, alongside those who may not always be consistent but are still part of it. When you hear the words 'Arts Unity Network,' what comes to mind? Does it evoke a sense of community? A system that can genuinely thrive, or something more?

About Art
As Sondheim wrote, "Art isn't easy," but listening to people across the globe talk about it is! Our selection of shows that fall under the art umbrella is unparalleled, because we've got the world's most beloved authors, most talked-about actors and truly groundbreaking artists discussing their work, their influences and the creative process. On any given day, join in conversation with bestselling novelists, with museum curators on major fine art exhibits, with directors and writers whose films are the talk of Sundance or Cannes, with newsmakers whose latest works are changing the face of photography, mixed media or interior design. Spoken word is also voiced here, and other forms of poetry, as are journaling, crafts and more. Yes, BlogTalkRadio is bursting with self-expression; so if you've got a creative passion you'd like to share with the world, why not host your own show? We'll have you know, that part is easy.
