We talked not long ago about the bombing of Japan.  Should we as a nation used the atom bomb.  I have  seen the movies but had no personal emotion other then that which was created.  I can tell you that on Sept. 11, 2001, I watched in horror in real time and if it felt like that after Pearl Harbor. I would have used my entire arsenal.  Which I think we did.  I felt shock that something like this could happen, sorrow for the people that was involved and the loss of innocense in feeling secure. The emotions were so intense and came in waves as we watched everything unfold.  I then fell into uncontrooled grief as I saw men, women, and children holding up signs with pictures to the camera's,  begging people for news of their missing loved ones..  In some way, it was like a bad dream that you could not wake up from.  I felt pride as I saw a nation of people coming together to provide aid and comfort.  The US military had more people volunteering then in the history of our nation.  Over 2 million people have been deployed since this attack to try to right this wrong.  All were volunteers!  With time politics, personal feelings, and a drop in our economy has taken these initial feelings of that day and made them less real.  For many of us I think we have lost our resolve to support because of fear, politics, and losses our military has suffered.  10 years later we still have troops in harms way.   We still hear names of young men and women that are fighting to right what was so wrong on Sept 11, 2001.
