What does it mean to take up your cross and follow Jesus

In the Bible in the book of Matthew it states that we are take up our cross and follow Jesus. Matt 16:24 Tonight we are asking those who are willing to open up what it means to take up your cross. There is no right or wrong answer but I hope that it allows all of us a chance to take a look at this scripture and how it applies to us in this day and time. So many people quote scripture to people without taking the time to look at what it means. The second part of the show is for the people to call in and share in one word what this year means to you.
