What is a good Samaritan today?

In this day and time where the world is getting smaller and the press keeps us informed of current events around the world. I wonder what is the definition of a Good Samaritan? We all know the Bible story of the Good Samaritan. As a person of faith we look at trying walk what we say we are. On this topic I would hope that everybody that wants to be a good person would strive to be a Good Samaritan. It was not that long ago on the show on prayer that we all heard Lisa's compassion for her friend. He stirred me to think if my heart is soft enough to really care about those that are in some sort of distress in their lives. Look to hear your thoughts and comments on this topic.
