Atlanta-born and Brooklyn-based, Reagon effortlessly moves among traditional African American folk, blues, and gospel music genres to vintage rock, reggae, and contemporary pop. Her voice is by turns earthy and sweet, her band BIGLovely grooves with easy grace, and her music nests sharp social commentary in sensual vocal harmonies with infectious hooks. Jasmina Boyich, Stanford University professor and curator/founder of the Human Rights Association Film Festival, 13 years old now, opens October 22, 2010 and continues through October 31, 2010 in two cities: Palo Alto and San Francisco.
