The ongoing conflict of ideologies between 'Education and Entertainment' remain in the forfront of collegiate tennis as administrators continue to mandate and force coaches and players into abbreviated scoring systems and shortened versions of tennis. Kriese has coined the phrase that "easy to pick up is also easy to put down; whereas, hard to pick up is hard to put down."
