On any given day, there is much that captures our attention. Have you ever wondered why some things get your attention but not others? Sometimes, it's obvious -- bills, dirty laundry, empty gas tanks, loud noises, pandemics. Other times, it's not obvious - personality types, personal style, or just about everything we judge about circumstances, conditions, other people. Why does a certain personality trait drive one person crazy and yet goes relatively unnoticed by another? There is a reason. And it's important. Why? Because science has proven, and ancient wisdom has been telling us for centuries, that the attention of a human being affects the outcome. John Wheeler, the late American physicist and contemporary of Albert Einstein, eloquently sums it up: "The universe does not exist 'out there,' independent of us. We are inescapably involved in bringing about that which appears to be happening. We are not only observers. We are participators..this is a participatory universe."
What you give your attention to, focus on, expands and you bring more of that into your experience. Is this good news or bad news? Depends on what you drives your attention...
"Recognize what is in front of you, and what is hidden from you will be revealed. There is nothing hidden that will not be revealed." The Gospel of Thomas
