Join Anna K. as she interviews Pamela Morgan...
Pamela is the owner of Flirting with Flavors and is highly regarded as a special event planner, culinary consultant, cookbook author, food & entertaining editor for Hamptons’s Cottages and Gardens and culinary instructor. She is a member of Les Dames D’Escoffier, a leadership organization headed by women noted for their success in the culinary profession. Her cookbook, Pamela Morgan’s FLAVORS, written with Michael McLaughlin (Viking) was published in May 1998.
Pamela grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas, a town that is about as far as one can imagine from the famous kitchens in which she came of age as a chef, studying with Alain Ducasse and Roger Verge. From 1984 to 2000, Morgan was President of Flavors Catering, a full-service New York catering firm specializing in custom-tailored events. Her clients included Martha Stewart Living, HBO and Chanel. In January 1994, Pamela opened her first retail store, FLAVORS CATERING AND CARRY-OUT in New York’s Flatiron District. The store was sold in 2000, but it was a fixture of the neighborhood, the place to come for healthy, delicious food.
Pamela now creates events and cooking parties for a varied clientele. She teaches her students how to spice up their relationships through the art of cooking. Each event is customized designed for each client’s needs and desires. Pamela has appeared on Fox and Friends, Housewives of New York for Bravo, and Kathie Lee and Hoda and has a weekly blog, www.flirtingwithflavors.com. She is married and lives in NYC with her husband.
