1) A teen, Reid Mitchell was involved in the brutal attack on his Texas football teammate Cole Hagan and will serve 120 days in jail and 10 years probation after the victim's family showed him 'mercy,' in a plea deal. Reid Mitchell pleaded guilty to assaulting his teammate.
2) Missouri man, Larry Thomlison, 70, of St. Charles, was found guilty of first-degree assault and armed criminal action in the March 2019 shooting of 21-year-old Jaylen Walker, who was paralyzed from the waist down. Shooting the Amazon delivery driver in a dispute over a disabled parking spot.
3) During a Bible study at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, in Charleston, SC, Dylann Roof killed nine people, all African Americans, including senior pastor and state senator Clementa C. Pinckney, and injured one other person. It was a racially motivated hate crime. A federal appeals court upheld the death sentence for Dylann Roof, the white man convicted in the mass shooting in 2015 of African American members of Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina.
4) Forgiving Infidelity... Forgiveness can mean a partner wants to trust again at some point, but it may not yet be possible. Forgiveness helps the person forgiving find release from pain, while trust can allow the person who was forgiven to find release from guilt. The act of rebuilding trust also requires the participation of both partners and time.
