When Stacy Newman arrived in Chattanooga 13 years ago, she hoped to build a career in television and film production. Her natural problem-solving skills and ability to make things happen weren’t lost on those who worked with her as she moved up the proverbial food chain at Luken Communications which was busy building a brand with its popular Retro TV network and its sister networks.
Then seemingly out of nowhere, after working as an editor at the national multi-network broadcaster, she became the host of the popular music program “More than the Music,” an interview show airing Tuesdays and Sundays at 8 p.m. at Luken’s country music channel, The Heartland Network. Today, the Detroit native is celebrating the show’s third year as it continues to expand into new markets and grow its fanbase exponentially.
While the show isn’t in production right now because of the pandemic, Newman is doing remote interviews and news segments with music artists for The Heartland Network and social media. http://www.mttmheartland.com/
