62,939 cases of child sexual abuse were reported in 2012. More Are Not

According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics’ National Criminal Victimization Survey, in 2012, there were 346,830 reported rapes or sexual assaults of persons 12 years or older. 

@ 2 Sherry Damron survived abuse and now tells the story of how she has come from being abused to a life of peace and grace. Sherry wants to help change other women’s lives through what she has experienced. As she has shared her story, she has found there are so many other women who have gone through similar experiences, but chose to bury them inside, because they felt too much shame to talk to someone. Through her conferences and teaching, she has helped many women know what a treasure lies within them. Sherry’s recent book entitled: “Undone” is about how she finally realized who she is and her purpose in life. Sherry was molested as a child and as a result of the shame and trauma associated with molestation, Sherry states: “Once a child is ever molested, their view is forever tainted of what real relationship is all about.”
