Good morning! Today, on The Meter, we will have an election update. With 16 days to go until election day, polls in crucial battleground states remain neck and neck as both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump held rallies this weekend in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. As early voting is breaking all previous records, even in storm-ravished counties, 2024 may have the higher voter participation rate in American history. Who has the better message for those undecided in these final days. Also, the Middle East War is continuing to expand as Israeli forces killed another Hamas leader, Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind of the October 7th terrorist attack, with a drone led strike. Iranian backed proxies responded by targeting Benjamin Netanyahu's private home with a drone attack of their own. The strike was unsuccessful as the drone fell short and Netanyahu was not present, but the attempted assassination may show signs that, even with the recent developments in Israel's favor, the war's end is not yet in sight. How will these developments affect the US elections just 2 weeks and 2 days left? Back to the campaign trail, the fight for control of the Senate and House remains razor thin. The GOP is favored to win the Senate, with leads in WV and MT, but OH, PA, WI, and MI are very tight, with Democrats holding slight leads. Could a strong Trump finish help the Republican Congressional candidates? Please join the discussion at 10AM. The call-in number is 347-308-8933. Your input is essential!
