Good morning! Today, on The Meter, we will cover the escalation of the Middle East War. Israel was attacked by more than 200 drones and ballistic-type missles last night and early this morning. The United States aided its Israeli ally by helping to shoot down the incoming barrage. Not one Iranian warhead reached a target inside Israel or even made direct contact with the ground as all ordinances were destroyed in the sky. Jordan condemned Iran for violating its airspace during the assault but took no military intervention. Donald Trump, holding a rally in Pennsylvania, pledged total support for the Jewish State and blamed the attack and the war itself on the incompetence and appeasement of the Biden administration. The 45th president and current presidential near nominee says he'll reinstate his policy that kept Iran poor and at bay. Will the war expand even further and be a major issue in November? Also, back at home, the FISA bill was renewed for 2 years, and a Republican-led effort to require a warrant failed to pass by one vote as Speaker Mike Johnson killed the attachment by casting the deciding vote. The conservative wing of the Party was outraged, sparking yet more talk of ousting another speaker. Will this hurt the GOP moving forward? Also, the souther US border remains a major mess and great concern for Joe Biden. A suspect ib a terrorist watch list was released into the US after being held by Border Patrol for more than a year. The judge who released the terrorist was not told by the Biden administration of his terrorist links and, therefore, was let go. As the number of crossings increases combined with worldwide hostility, how much danger do the American people face, especially with this being the number 1 election concern?
