Biden Covid Positive

Good morning, today on The Meter, we will cover the covid diagnosis of Joe Biden. Biden disclosed that he tested positive for Covid 19 this week from a balcony on the White House saying that he was experiencing mild symptoms. At the daily press briefing, Joe Biden's doctors declared they were unaware of how the 79 year old contracted the virus. Biden is reportedly resting, taking paxlovid, and getting better. We at The Meter wish Joe Biden a speedy recovery. Is Covid-19 still a threat and are shutdowns and mask mandates on the horizon again? In New York Rep. Lee Zeldin, Republican candidate for Governor was attacked by a man with a jagged weapon during a campaign speech in Perinton, outside Rochester. The 43 year old man entered the stage, pushed the weapon toward Zeldin's throat, and said "you're done". Lee Zeldin grabbed the man's wrist that held the weapon until onlookers subdued the attacker. The assailant was released with no bail, on his own recognizance, in accordance with New York's no bail law, shocking the nation. The attacker was later arrested of a federal charge. Is the public safe in New York or are only Republicans not protected? Back in Washington, the January 6th committee has convicted Trump associate Steve Bannon of contempt for his refusal to testify before the committee. Bannon rejects this conclusion citing it's partisanship and lack of cooperation with Bannon's attorneys.
