Cherry Season is Over, Garcia-Thurman Erupts Post Fight

Danny "Swift" Garcia was successful in knocking out the over-matched tune up opponent in Samuel Vargas via 7th round referee stoppage. This victory cleared the way for the blockbuster match-up between Garcia and Keith "one time" Thurman who had a heated post-fight altercation.  There is no love loss between the two welterweight champions, and this confrontation sets the tone for the promotional aspect in their March 4th unification bout.

The undercard for the PBC On Spike provided an action packed Jr. Lightweight fight in which Javier Fortuna defeated Omar Douglas via decision after getting up off the canvas in the first round.  Junior Middleweight prospect Jarrett Hurd was also featured scoring a 6th round TKO vs. Jo Jo Dan.
