Forget Canelo, Gennady Golovkin vs Erislandy Lara is What We Want ???

On today's show, the panel discusses the junior middleweight-heavy ShowTime card that featured three world title fights on the TV portion of the card.

The evening's main event was a rematch between Erislandy Lara and Vanes Martirosyan. The two fought to a draw back in November of 2012, but Lara, regarded as the better fighter then and now, was able to finally put the dispute to bed with a typical Lara performance, for better or worse.

The Charlo brothers made history by becoming the first brothers to hold titles inside the 154lb (junior middleweight) division. Jermell won the vacant WBC 154lb title last night, his first world championship, against a very game John Jackson. If you'll remember, the WBC title at 154 was one of the titles that Floyd vacated upon retiring.

Jermall was in tough as well, but he successfully defended his IBF title against the veteran Austin Trout.

There was plenty of other action to discuss across the pond. David Haye and Shannon Briggs were both successful in separate bouts on their joint card, setting up a likely showdown between the two heavyweights.

However, it was Joseph Parker's IBF eliminator against Carlos Takam that held the most interest and prestige inside the heavyweight division. Parker was able to secure a unanimous decision, but the mixed reactions to his performance brought into question his validity right now amongst the division's best. Is Parker deserving of the hype still or has the wind come out the sails a bit?
