On today’s show, the panel will discuss the Showtime card featuring a junior middleweight title fight between Erislandy Lara (WBA) vs. Vanes Martirosyan at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas . This title fight is a rematch of their November 2012 fight, also in Las Vegas. We will hopefully get a definitive conclusion this time as the first fight was declared a draw.

The Showtime card is interesting as it will showcase five of the best 154lb fighters in the world. Jermall Charlo and Austin Trout make up the co-feature and Jermell Charlo squares off against John Jackson. There could be tremendous implications upon this card’s conclusion, specifically in regards to these fighters meeting up with one another.

May 21st was originally considered to be the weekend of the heavyweights as Deontay Wilder and Alexander Povetkin lead the charge, but with that fight canceled it appears as though the burden will fall on the shoulders of David Haye, Joseph Parker, Carlos Takam, and Shannon Briggs. Parker and Takam will be fighting for the right to face IBF champion Anthony Joshua, but Haye could steal AJ’s interest with a compelling fight. After all, AJ and Haye offer up one of the biggest UK fights that can be made today in the heavyweight division.

The hardcore weekend will continue with Denis Lebedev vs. Victor Emilio Ramirez in a WBA/IBF cruiserweight unification title fight.
