On tonight’s episode, Thaboxingvoice’s panel of hosts discuss the underrated nature of this weekend’s fights, starting with tomorrow night’s ShoBox: The New Generation featuring a pair of cruiserweight fights. The main event on ShowTime will be between Andrew Tabiti and Keith Tapia in a 10 round fight with the co-feature between Michael Hunter vs. Isiah Thomas, also a 10 rounder.

On Saturday night, BET televises a showdown in the welterweight division between Dusty Hernandez-Harrison and Michael Dallas Jr. Last time we saw Harrison, he was making short wok of Angel Hernandez at the beginning of this year.

After taking nearly three years off, Dallas Jr. returned from his 2013 loss to Lucas Matthysse to fight to quick matchups back to back in November and December of last year. With nearly half a year gone, Dallas hopes to make a statement while Harrison looks to remain undefeated.

We will also continue to discuss the aftermath of Canelo-Khan with the aftermath surrounded around a fight with Gennady “GGG” Golovkin. Golovkin is hoping to land a major win against the most significant opponent of his career, and who just happens to be the most significant cash cow in boxing today- Canelo.

News and notes will be discussed further as we recap the week’s happenings.

And, of course, we will be taking live calls on air from you the voice of the people. From Alumni to first-time callers, we encourage everyone to call 646-478-3068 to voice your opinion. And remember you can express your opinion in writing by becoming part of the team and writing for the site- contact Mario Mungia or Nestor Gibbs at Theboxingvoice@yahoo.com. Potential for substantial growth within the field of boxing journalism.
