Canelo vs. Khan Report: Khan Hospitalized After Devastatingly Brutal 6 Rd KO

After a stellar weekend of boxing, Thaboxingvoice Radio Show will offer up its analysis of every major card and significant fight. The show will lead with the most attention-grabbing result of the weekend—Saul “Canelo” Alvarez’s 6th round destruction over Amir Khan in Las Vegas at the new T-Mobile Arena.

Canelo-Khan was the first boxing event to be held at the new arena and it did not disappoint. Fans were treated to a tremendous, if not predictable, fight. Most fans were in agreeance, initially, that the fight would be one-sided and ultimately end in a KO. But the closer the fight got the more fans and media began to believe in Khan’s chances.

On last week’s preview show, Khan believers/supporters were out in abundance, but will they show up to take their crow after picking the UK fighter?

With three of the four fights on the PPV televised portion of the card ending in KO/TKO, the panel will have plenty to discuss.

There was also a tremendous UK card involving Anthony Crolla’s successful title defense over Ismael Barroso. Most assumed that Barroso, the harder hitter of the two, would be the one to score a stoppage, but it was, in fact, Crolla who was able to stop Barroso in the 7th round. On the same televised card from a split-site in Germany, Kubrat Pulev won a split decision victory over Dereck Chisora.
