On today’s show, the panel discusses all of the fights from this past weekend, led by the back-and-forth action in Carson, California (StubHub Center) where Andre Berto and Victor Ortiz traded punches and knockdowns in their four round classic.

Berto was able to pull off the win, and in grand fashion, but what does this mean for the state of the young and talented welterweight division? Is Berto a major player? Is Ortiz’s career as a welterweight prizefighter over? We will answer all of these questions as we speak of the Ortiz-Berto undercard which showcased a number of terrific fights.

We will also discuss the ShowTime card with Badou Jack taking on Lucian Bute and James DeGale squaring off against Rogelio Medina. After breaking down the card’s action, we will present some scenarios for the remainder of the tournament.

Friday night’s action went as planned as the Dirrell brothers both won, but the panel will breakdown the meaning of the card and what is likely to come of it.

Overseas action led by Hughie Fury and Fred Kassi.

With the time remaining, we will bring you some news and notes from the world of boxing and perhaps give a small taste of what is to come with next week’s Canelo-Khan PPV.

And, of course, we will be taking live calls on air from you the voice of the people. From Alumni to first-time callers, we encourage everyone to call 646-478-3068 to voice your opinion. And remember you can express your opinion in writing by becoming part of the team and writing for the site- contact Mario Mungia or Nestor Gibbs at Theboxingvoice@yahoo.com. Potential for substantial growth within the field of boxing journalism.
