On today’s show, the panel discusses all the action of this busy weekend of fights, highlighted by the crowning of a new WBO welterweight champion in Jesse Vargas who stopped Sadam Ali in the 9th round to issuing the Brooklyn native his first career loss as a pro.
 
On that same card, Luis Ortiz easily put away faded fighter Tony Thompson after delivering 3 knockdowns in the fight. The heavyweight showdown headlined the HBO “Boxing After Dark” card, but the panel will discuss what Ortiz truly gained from the outing.
 
We will also breakdown all the action on the ShowTime side of things as they delivered a card featuring Julian “J Rock” Williams and Antoine Douglas in separate bouts. What was the aftermath of this card and what can we expect of Douglas after being upset by Avtandil Khurtsidze?
