Saul Canelo Alvarez vs. Amir Khan For WBC Middleweight Crown

Tonight, we discuss the bombshell fight announcement from earlier today when we learned that WBC/Lineal middleweight champion of the world Saul “Canelo” Alvarez will be defending his title against Amir Khan at a catch weight of 155lbs. Even fresh off of one of the biggest fights of his career – a win over Miguel Cotto last year – Canelo is determined to prove he is willing to make the biggest matchups possible. 

Canelo and Khan will take place in Las Vegas, likely at the new T-Mobile arena scheduled to open in April, but the site is not yet determined. However, we do know that the mega showdown will happen May 7th on HBO PPV. The announcement sent shockwaves through the boxing world, specifically through social media.
