Now that boxing has finally got its super fight fans are rejoicing, and some are even apologetic to the fact that this fight took this long to make. Time to pack our bags, get a ticket, and witness history, right?
Well, not quite.
Rumors in the industry have started that Mayweather-Pacquiao might be limited to tickets for the public, if at all. Meaning, if you want to buy a ticket, your best bet will be to buy on secondary market at an inflated price.
In a report by ESPN Deportes, a source close to the promotion stated that there will only be 1000 tickets or less available to the public. The MGM Grand holds about 16,800 and to score a ticket to the fight, you either need to know someone or pony up an enormous amount to be in the building.
There will be plenty closed circuit viewings available throughout casino properties throughout Las Vegas, but that ticket is rumored to be close to 200 dollars.
