The Adrien Broner show continued on Thursday during the final press conference for Saturday’s SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING® tripleheader at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati.

“The Problem” debuted “Bronish,” his own style of trash talking translated by fellow Cincinnati native and undefeated prospect Robert Easter, Jr. Then he reverted back to English and called out Lucas Matthysse. Just a few minutes later, he put his arms around the throat of his opponent on Saturday, Emanuel Taylor, while facing off for media in attendance.

In other words, typical Adrien Broner.

Broner (28-1, 22 KOs) and Taylor (18-2, 12 KOs) will meet in Saturday’s 12-round super lightweight main event, live on SHOWTIME®

Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin has opted out of facing his mandatory challenger Matt Korobov and has vacated his WBO middleweight title to try and pursue better opportunities in the middleweight division. Quillin thanked the WBO president and stated that it had to happen in order for fights that he and boxing fans wanted to happen.

“I’d like to thank WBO president Paco Valcarcel and his organization for their support throughout the years,” said Quillin. Winning the WBO world championship was a highlight in my career and somethign I’ll never forget. This is a difficult but in order to make fights the fans and I want against my fellow middleweights at the top of the division I needed to relinquish the title. This is an exciting new chapter in my life and I’m looking forward to cementing my spot as the best middleweight in the division.” We will with out a shadow of a doubt be taking live calls on air from you the voice of the people.
