“Software and Technology Update With Marcus Stephen Harris” Marcus is a contributing guest on software and technology issues that impact law practice management and substantive practice areas involving intellecutal property and licensing. Today Marcus will offer his thoughts on cloud computing and software selection for law firms.
Cloud computing and software selection have recently earned the attention of main street law firms who want to propel their business forward while saving time and money. Some of the initial responses to cloud computing was that online access to documents and software made it easier for lawyers to work from their home computer or laptop, leading to more flexible work schedules. Cloud or “off site” technology fell under fire when reports surfaced that Google was collecting information on users; many lawyers felt their data was not secure. Our software and technology attorney, Marcus Harris will address cloud computing as well as selecting law firm software.
