No. It's a very powerful word in its meaning and when it's correctly applied. Why do so many struggle with the word no? Why can't some people say no? Why can't some people accept the answer no? The word no is probably easier to accept when it's used more often, but when it's used more often, it can seem like a yes, because it becomes as predictable as when someone agrees with your advances all the time. Speaking of advances, sexual advances are when the word no really seem to come under scrutiny. This is the area where court cases and prison time often take center stage. It's really a serious problem, but should it be? If a woman rejects a man's physical advances towards her, should there ever be a question of whether she meant it or not? Should there ever be a question of whether the answer no should be honored? Does it, or should ever matter how long, or how well you have known the person? Can we have a talk about the word no today?
