We all know people who have high self-esteem. We all know people who have low self-esteem. Which one is easier for you to put up with? We know that when someone's self-esteem is high, it can come off as overconfidence, or conceit. When someone's self-esteem is low, they can be a sad burden on people, because you can feel like you always have to hype them up to believe in themselves and they may let people who believe in themselves take advantage of them and push them around. Of course, there are extremes to all of this, but in both examples, the people who display either of these traits can be obnoxious. How do you handle someone gives you a compliment on your looks? Do you brush it off as if they are joking? Do you say something arrogant like "I know"? Do you suspect that they are just trying to get something from you? Do you tell them that they are lying? The way that a person handles a compliment can say a lot about they way that they think of themselves, but does it always tell you the all that you need to know about them? Let's talk about this.
That's what we're talking about tonight at 7PM ET on The Daily Gogetemism Show. Check this out: https://youtu.be/xquWlYF18Qo
