I don't know about you, but when I was young young, it seemed like everybody participated in the commercial part of the holidays. It didn't matter what holiday it was, unless you were raised in the church. If you were raised in the church, your participation in the holidays was probably more tied to religion. Of course, when you are younger, your field of vision is much smaller than when you get older and more exposed. Nowadays, it seems like more people are practicing a consciousness that sometimes excludes them from joining in holiday activities. You might not gather and eat on Thanksgiving. You might not give gifts on Christmas, or even call it Christmas anymore. Black people have become very divided over the decision to celebrate holidays, or not. Sometimes it turns into arguments and resentment. Let's look at a few things that surround this. Can we talk about this?
That's what we're talking about tonight at 7PM ET on The Daily Gogetemism Show. Check this out: https://youtu.be/y3Axi5xTe3A
