Bill Cosby is one of ours. OJ wasn't one of ours. Angela Davis is one of ours. Diamond and Silk aren't one of ours. Thurgood Marshall was one of ours. Justice Clarence Thomas is NOT one of ours. Lauren Hill is one of ours. Candace Owens is not one of ours.

How do we determine what people, organizations, or entities are ours, instead of those that belong to the world? What makes us defend someone, or something as our own? Do you have to do something for the Black community, or do you have to mean something to the Black community? When we say that they are our own, does that mean that most of us agree on that? Who do you have on your list of people who belong to US?
