Is Juneteenth Being A Federal Holiday Enough? The Daily Gogetemism Show.

For decades, Juneteenth wasn't taught about in schools and many Black people didn't know that the event even existed. Now Black People are saying that declaring Juneteenth a holiday isn't enough. They say that we should be getting legislation that protects us against violent racial attacks, like the Asians got. They are saying that it should be an exclusive holiday that only Black people should be able to enjoy. How would that work? Can you imagine a holiday being created that would only apply to Black people? Picture it. Not really sure that that would be legal. We know that we have a long way to go in the area of receiving our just due of justice and fairness, but can the recognition of a horrible act be a bad thing, even if it did only come after the killing of George Floyd?
