They're Kind, Friendly, Generous And Hard Working, But They Don't Believe In God

If a person is an atheist, does it make you prejudice against them, even if they have good qualities? Would it stop you from being friends with them? Would it stop you from getting into a relationship with them? Would it stop you from treating them fairly? If you're not practicing a religion, but have a religion, does it soften this situation? Does associating with someone who doesn't believe in God diminish your faith in some way?
