Incest. That nasty, dirty little secret that way too many of us sweep under the rug, hide, keep on the low, deny, act like they don't know about, try to forget happened, try to forgive for having it done, hope that people remember that you did it etc.

The fact is that it has happened, it continues to happen and will happen today if someone doesn't step in to stop it, reveal it, or do something to prevent it. Long gone are the days when we could believe that the long-term effects of incest will somehow fizzle out of our memories like they were a passing phase. People carry the damage of incest far into their adult lives. Some go on to commit incest themselves. Others, become paranoid and overprotective of their loves ones and sometimes themselves. Incest is rape.
