Please join me, your host, Imam Michael "Mikal" Saahir on WORDS-MAKE-PEOPLE for an insightful conversation on the topic: "Labor and Work Ethics From an Islamic Perspective."

Last week America observed the holiday Labor Day. One website says, "The holiday is rooted in the late nineteenth century, when labor activists pushed for a federal holiday to recognize the many contributions workers have made to America’s strength, prosperity, and well-being."

QUR'AN - Sura (chapter) 28, Al-Qasas, verse 77: "But seek, through that which Allah has given you, the home of the Hereafter; and [yet], do not forget your share of the world. And do good as Allah has done good to you. And do not desire corruption in the land. Indeed, Allah does not like corrupters."

Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 1-3 p.m. EST
