Memorial Day!-a short history~

The original name of Memorial Day was Decoration Day, and came out of the War Between the States, a war that claimed more lives than any war since it ended in the Spring of 1865. There were so many dead as a result of this 'Civil' war that for the first time the Federal Government had to establish National Cemetaries to handle the load. The first official celebration and remembrance was designated as Decoration Day on May 30, 1868, a date that was selected because it wasn't the anniversary of any particular battle. Decoration Day was to honor only those that died in the Civil War, and after WW1 ended the name was changed to Memorial Day in order to include those that died in that great conflict. All wars and conflicts are now included. In 1968 Congress established the last Monday in May as the day for the celebration in order create a three-day weekend for Federal Employees. This change went into effect in 1971, and was declared to be a Federal Holiday. It has since by tradtition expanded to include all that have served in any capacity in the armed forces of the United States of America, which is why hundreds of thousands of small American flags are placed on every grave in our National Cemetaries, in honor of all who served.

I look forward with great anticipation to that Great Day of the Lord, when all of the saved of humanity that have earned the RIGHT to eternal life meet as one before the Great White Throne, and honor their King of the Kingdom of the Heavens, who made it possible for those that have learned and practiced the truth to also be honored along with Him, a celebration of victory over death.

Our shared experience will be different now that we are no longer subject to the prophecies of the Death Road as seen in Revelaton. We will be experiencing a different set of prophecies, that will open a new way to eternal life through peace not war.
