Have you ever used the expression "Don't take me for granted"? The idea of 'taking something or someone 'for granted' is that you are not giving that person full worth for who they are or what they do for you. It does not feel good when this 'dissing' is directed AT you, because the person doing it is taking advantage of you by not acknowledging your contribution to the quality of their life. But in the actual saying of this expression many people today mis-speak the sentiment by unconsciously substituting the word 'granite' for the word 'granted'; they say that they are 'taking someone for granite'. (Another example of this is the phrase "You have another THING coming", that should be "You have another THINK coming".)

Yet in the mis-speaking this phrase we can find truth, as it can be said "Don't take truth for granted", or "Take Truth for Granite"! You see TRUTH is both singular and absolute. It is immutible and indelible, and therefor 'solid as a rock', A.K.A. Granite. Truth is unchanged and unchangable. When you find it there is nothing stronger than TRUTH. You can never find truth unless you look for it, yet this is something only a few people in this world actually strive to do.

Finding truth is time consuming and personally expensive, because you must give up a everything you are to find it. But when you do you find the most valuable thing in the universe, eternal life.
