Does lack of sleep spoil your day?

Is you thinking and energy dragging?

Learn to be a Savvy Insomniac ?

Lois Maharg, author of The Savvy Insomniac: A Personal Journey through Science to Better Sleep gives us her tour of the world of the sleepless.

Lois took her doctors' advice, read all the books on insomnia, followed the recommendations and still fell prey to wakeful nights and washed out days.  She wanted answers and needed them quick, so as an experienced reporter she set out to explore insomnia in the hope that a deeper understanding would lead to better sleep.

After eight years of legwork and immersion in medical journals, Lois found her passport to better sleep and daytime stamina.

Join us as Lois talks her book and shares some of the things she learned along the way; including the body systems that control sleep and waking, and the history of insomnia and cultural attitudes toward it.
