On this episode of RFSA we are pleased to have as our guest Dr Dan Roodt .
Dr Roodt is a well-known Afrikaner commentator and the author of many books including “Raiders of the lost Empire: South Africa’s ‘English’ Identity,” “The Scourge of the ANC,” and “Johannesburg In Five.”
In 2000 Dr Roodt also founded the Pro-Afrikaans Action Group (PRAAG) an NGO in South Africa, as well as a publishing company by the same name.
He is currently president of Pretoria PEN, affiliated to the international writers’ organisation.
Dr Roodt has also been active in the movement for racial and linguistic equality in South Africa and regularly protests against anti-white violence in that country. According to prof. Jaap Steyn and Hennie van Coller of the Free State University in Bloemfontein, he has been one of the three most influential Afrikaans language activists of the twentieth century.
He has just returned from a trip to the Netherlands and Sweden. His lecture in Stockholm on the Swedish (ANC)/South African relations during Apartheid is available on youtube
