Topic: Tamarin Lindenberg, of Healthcare in Transition, a master researcher and author of a new book entitled, ” Female Cancer: The Vital Role of Self Perceived Beauty in the Healing Process – A Study in Breast Reconstruction. She conducted interviews with over 100 women from a wide range of region of the country, age, ethnicity, and socio-economic backgrounds, and breast cancer patients as well as healthy participants(who had hypothetical opinions) in the study as to their expectations of visual outcomes prior to mastectomies, their experiences with finding a doctor that was ‘patient led’ as opposed to doctor led, and their psychological views on the importance of their beauty and sexuality.
