The Oxford Dictionary describes artificial intelligence as "the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages."
There are many within the tech community who have raised the alarm about the increased use of A. I. with blatant warnings that we need to curb its advancement and our dependence. Some predict our use of A. I. will make humanity obsolete. Is that simply the stuff of fiction or a real threat?
