If I could travel back to my eighth year that's when I began to learn how to play the piano. I didn't like playing the piano at that age and when my mother died three days before my 10th birthday, my dad asked me if I wanted to continue playing the piano and of course I responded, "NO!"
The funny thing is when I was in college all my extra classes were music, piano specifically. I also regretted that I didn't continue playing the piano.
After I began teaching, I purchased a very expensive piano and it just sat in the house until my younger son began playing and after he began teaching, I gave it to him because I thought he would use it more than I had.
