A Tribute to Ravi Zacharias -- The Parker J Cole Show

When I heard that Ravi Zacharias had passed away yesterday, I cried. Though the man never knew me, though we never had a chance to say hello, he left an impact in my life. Over ten years ago, I entered the world of apologetics. The first book I read by him was called "Jesus Among Other Gods". From that moment on, I devoured every word he had to say. He tackled the big questions of life with an intelligence and sensitivity that anyone of us could learn from. The written word was his tool. Through his ministry RZIM, he traveled the world with the intent to share the impact of Jesus on his life with everyone.

Tonight, we give tribute to an wonderful apologist, and servant of God. My guest co-host is Melissa Pellew. Melissa Pellew is a full-time missionary and community apologist with Ratio Christi serving as Co-Chapter Director, with her husband Devin, at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC, where they are equipping college students to defend the Christian Faith as well as engaging unbelieving and skeptical students. She has been involved in pro-life activism since 2006 in various capacities from sidewalk counseling at abortion clinics, mentoring expectant mothers and fathers, speaking on pro-life apologetics and conducting trainings at churches, conferences, youth groups and the college campus.
