Teaching With C.L.A.S.S. (Creating Learning Atmospheres for Successful Students) was created and inspired by my years of experience as an urban educator and a PUSH from my husband. It pains me to enter schools where I witness the injustice of academia, and the oft times negative ramifications that it presents in the lives of children, especially those that look like me. This blog is my way of (1) providing parents with access to useful information relative to their children's academic journey, and (2) inspire and equip urban school teachers with the passion and preparation they need in order to be successful in the classroom. The ultimate goal for Teaching With C.L.A.S.S. is for OUR students to be academically and developmentally prepared to make an impact in their communities and represent their culture in a positive light.
