Perez  was Nominated for the Harlon Hill Trophy, awarded to the Division II College Football Player of the Year last year the same award Joique Bell won while playing with Wayne State. Perez led the Lone Star Conference with 3,326 passing yards and 277.2 yards per game and became just the third player in school history to throw for at least 3,000 yards. Set an A&M-Commerce record with 32 TD passes and is the only QB in school history with more than 27 TD passes.
