George Fant took peopel by surprise when he decided to play football at Western Kentucky - The reason?
In his final season at Western Kentucky (basketball) he led the Hilltoppers and was third in Conference USA in rebounding at 8.4 boards per game. He scored an average of 13.8 points-per game in 2014-15, which was a career best.
Fant would have one year of eligibility left to play football at WKU. Student-athletes get five years of eligibility, including four per sport. Once he exhausted his four years in basketball he switched gears and decided to flirt witht he idea of playing in the NFL. The decision so far has paid off with Fant gaining a large amount of interest by several NFL clubs.
