Grosz, a defensive tackle, recently wrapped up a successful senior season that saw him named Big Sky Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Year. The 6-foot-4, 295-pound defensive lineman out of San Joaquin Memorial High, Fresno, was named Big Sky Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Year along with Montana State defensive end Brad Daly on Nov. 26, 2013. Grosz, who did not miss a game in his four seasons as a Mustang, finished his stellar Cal Poly career ranked fifth on the program’s career sacks chart. As a senior, he recorded 71 total tackles (33 solo), including a team-leading 14 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks. The business administration major put an exclamation on his career with an interception that helped lead Cal Poly to a 42-14 victory at Northern Colorado in the season finale. He also finished the 2013 season with a pass breakup, 11 quarterback hurries and a forced fumble.
