Kent State has produced plenty of talented NFL players over the last decade. Most of them relatively unknowns until they make their make in the National Football League. James Harrison, Julian Edelman, and Josh Cribbs are some of the few who have flown under the radar in Kent, Ohio. Last season the Golden Flashes left tackle Brian Winters was nationally known and was drafted in the third round by the New York Jets. Archer brings that kind of notability the program and himself. In 2012, Archer finished the year with 1,429 rushing yards (third most in a season at KSU) on just 159 carries with 16 rushing touchdowns. Led the team with 39 catches for 561 yards and four touchdowns, and returned three kickoffs for touchdowns and averaged 36.9 yards on 16 kick returns (highest in MAC history). "I play a lot of a similar role as Darren Sproles does with the (New Orleans) Saints, in our offense," say Archer. "Philly's offense this season they are a few offenses out there," Archer says that suit his abilities the best. For as small as he is Archer is one player on the field you can't miss, unless you're trying to tackle him.
