Gilliard appeared in 14 games making seven starts and had 55 tackles, including two sacks, and a fumble recovery. He recorded six tackles vs. No. 2 Alabama in SEC Championship. Gilliard was named to the Phil Steele Preseason All-SEC Fourth Team and was the recipient of the Joseph F. Espy Football Scholarship.
