At Michigan, Kovacs was a four-year varsity letterman and appeared in 50 games. The Texas vs. The Nation invite started 46 games at safety. He ranks 12th on U-M's all-time tackles list (331 career tackles) and posted his 300th career tackle vs. Michigan State (Oct. 20, 2012). Kovacs leaves Michigan as only the 15th player in Michigan history to record 300 career tackles.
