Blake has received many accolades during his football career both in college and high school. Blake comes from a football family where his Father, Dan, played in the NFL for the Chicago Bears and Washington Redskins (1975 - 1980).

 

Blake is from Jackson, MO and he is 6'2, 235 lbs with superior football skills. 2012 was a banner year for Blake Peiffer. In 2012, Blake was nominated for the Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year. Blake finished his senior year ranked 17th nationally with an average of 10.64 tackles per game. Blake recorded a season-high 18 tackles against rival Southern Illinois.

In 2012, Blake finished 12th for the Buck Buchanan Award Watch List. He was nominated BSN 1st Team Preseason All-American, Sports Network FCS Preseason All-American, BSN 1st Team Preseason All-American, College Sports Madness 1st Team, Associated Press 2nd Team, Beyond College Sports 2nd Team and at the end of the year he was nominated for 3rd Team All-American by Sports Network.

Blake has always been a leader. In 2012 he was nominated to be Team Captain and for the College Football Performance Awards Linebacker honor. Blake had a similar year in 2011, where he was nominated to 1st Team All Ohio Valley Conference, led the conference with 151 tackles and ranked 3rd in the nation with 13.7 tackles per game. In 2011, Blake was also nominated for College Sports Madness 1st team, Associated Press 2nd Team and Fat Head 2nd Team.

At Jackson High School in Missouri, Blake led the team in tackles for three years and was nominated two times as First Team All-State in Football. Blake also placed 1st in the 2009 State Wrestling Tournament.
