Wilson, a senior from Matteson, Ill., is the nation’s leading tackler at 12.6 stops per game and was the conference’s top hitter nearly every week as he recorded 17 or more hits in a game on four occasions this year.  He posted NCAA single-game highs for the season with 16 solo stops and 22.0 total tackles against Saint Joseph’s on Sept. 22, one week after setting his previous GLVC-record of 17.0 hits against Urbana on Sept. 15.  In the 23-21 victory over William Jewell on Sept. 29, Wilson was “held” to 8.0 tackles, although he recorded three sacks in the victory, the second-highest total in the league this year.  This past month, Wilson delivered 19.0 tackles against Missouri S&T on Oct. 6 and 17.0 stops versus Quincy on Oct. 27.  With one regular-season game remaining on the schedule, a Nov. 17 matchup with Kentucky State, Wilson owns conference highs in solo (68), assisted (58) and total tackles (126).
